Our client lived on this site for 27 years. He wanted a new house, but didn’t want to abandon the property, with its wooded esplanade, dramatic topography and alley access. We were asked to respect the site in the creation of a new home.

The house is made of two wings with a transparent foyer in between, providing unfolding views of house and garden that cannot be anticipated from the street. Accommodation of items from the original house, including antique doors, gates and screens, were incorporated in the new design.
