Shankman House

Rigorous in detail, but modest in scale, this house sits on a narrow lot in Boulevard Oaks. A long and slender volume with a shallow gable roof running its length sits on one side of the property. It is a simple site plan that allows for a richly interwoven series of exterior and interior spaces.

As seen from the street, the soft-spoken nature of the house belies the internal spatial variety and invention.
