Bell House

The Owner requested a “...simple, humble house, like an
old military concern that shows some permanence.”
The property is 120 acres. House and garage are nestled between
two stands of Live Oak trees, and occupy a place midway between
the high and low elevations on a gently sloping meadow.
A single gable roof runs the length of house and porch. Wings
at each end contain bedrooms. The transparent, vaulted center
contains public functions. Cladding is drystacked stone, exposed
framing on the porch is Douglas Fir, windows and doors are stained
mahogany and the roof is cedar shingles, doubled every eight courses.
